Wedding venue hunting!

We don't have a venue yet for our April 7 wedding.

Gary and I are a fickle-minded couple having a hard time deciding on where will the wedding be.

At San Juan, Batangas

Option 1: Beach
Pros: Dream wedding 5 years ago, would only need minimal styling
Cons: Too expensive (out-of-town fees are waaaaay too pricey), finding accommodation for guests is difficult, logistics, guests would be limited to 100
Damage: >Php150k for catering & set-up alone for 100 pax

The big tree is where I imagined the altar would be under
Option 2: UP Bonsai Garden (Garden + adjacent covered area)
Pros: Perfect for our Alice-in-wonderland theme, accessible to guests, no need to transfer from ceremony venue to reception venue, near possible preps hotels, no corkage fees, no accredited caterers
Cons: The covered area is dugyot-looking, would need drapes, restrooms are dugyot-looking, no aircon
Damage: Php15k for covered area, Php 10k for garden, Php10k for drapes (to rent from other suppliers), Php8k for air coolers (to rent from other suppliers)

Right now, we're looking into 2 other options.

Option 3: UP Bonsai Garden for ceremony + UP Bahay ng Alumni for reception
Pros: Perfect for our Alice-in-wonderland theme, accessible to guests, short travel time from ceremony venue to reception venue, near possible preps hotels, no corkage fees, no accredited caterers
Cons: Drapes are not allowed, venue can accommodate 400 guests (Parang superlaki for 150 guests)
Damage: Php10k for ceremony in UP Bonsai Garden, Php 20k for 4-hr reception in UP Bahay ng Alumni (5k/hour if non-aircon, 8k/hr if aircon), electricity fees

Option 4: Garden ceremony elsewhere + Reception in Elements at Centris
Pros: Perfect for our Alice-in-wonderland theme, accessible to guests, short travel time from ceremony venue to reception venue, near possible preps hotels, drapes are readily available, airconditioned, clean restrooms
Cons: Super expensive, Purpledish is not an accredited caterer yet, we would have to set-up ceremony area
Damage: Php10k for garden ceremony elsewhere (+allowance for set-up like chairs, arch, aisle, altar), Php55k for reception in Elements

We are open to other suggestions.

I hope you can comment down below for venue suggestions.

  1. bots, you look so happy in your pictures! haha so good for you! :)hmm, option 2 seems good kasi nandun na lahat, pagandahin na lang yung court. bahay ng alumni mukha ngang masyadong maluwang although accessible din if you're vying for bonsai garden. i don't know about elements at centris but if you'll be able to find a strategically located garden for the ceremony, baka okay naman dun kung prepped na yung place. haha! :)
